Aintree Racecourse has hosted the full launch of our ‘Guide to Reducing Restrictive Practice’.
This well attended event provided a full overview of the guide contents and the key principles. The combination of keynote speakers: Chief Executive Joe Rafferty, Medical Director Dr David Fearnley, Executive Director of Workforce Amanda Oates, Senior Clinical Nurse Danny Angus and Improvement Lead for Perfect Care - Expert by Experience Iris Benson and table top discussion groups attracted interest from all of the clinical divisions, as well as some outside agencies. The guide contains the range of interventions with which we deliver our ‘No Force First’ restrictive intervention reduction programme, which our clinical teams are already adopting to deliver hugely encouraging reductions in physical intervention.
